How to effectively use Web 2.0 to engage your audiences

The Web offers many powerful opportunities for filmmakers around the world to connect with their audiences, but it can be a difficult maze to navigate without understanding how to efficiently capitalise on the tools available.

This FilmTiki workshop, in collaboration with HomeBase Berlin, is based on a two-hour introduction followed by a workshop to be held in Berlin on 12 February 2010 and aims to provide filmmakers with the appropriate Social Media marketing tools.

It will answer the following questions:

  • What is Social Media?
  • How can I best use the web to advance my film project?
  • Which resources do I need?

Participants will get an insight on how to build an online promotion and distribution strategy for their current film project by examining both recent trends and established techniques in web marketing.

This workshop is aimed at both newcomers and established members of the film and television industry.

Applicants should have a current project in development.
